The Betz Brownies! From the kitchen of Terri Betz!

1/2  cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4t baking powder
1/4t salt

Melt the butter, sometimes I use margarine
Stir everything together in a bowl, let the butter cool, so you don't cook the eggs with the hot melted butter!
Stir until mixed up, but don't stir a lot!
Pour the batter into a square pan. Mine is an 8x8, old metal pan, that we call the brownie pan! :)
Oven turned on to 350°, let it warm up before you put them in.
Bake for 20 minutes. Better time it, you'll forget.

Put ice cream over them while they are warm! :)

Never buy brownie mix again!
Easy, peasy!

  1. No, I don't believe in brownie mixes. Our last brownie mix adventure ended in rather plasticky brownie taffy. But this looks absolutely yummy! From scratch! With butter! Yay!
